About OpenCurrent

Before we started OpenCurrent, we were (and still are!) academics and innovators who have a focus on harmonizing disparate datasets to maximize their use to society. These efforts produced MacroSheds and AquaSat. With these datasets, we built a suite of models and tools to better understand how headwaters function and change, and how to democratize remote sensing of water quality. We started OpenCurrent to bring these innovations to the water resource sector at scale.
